Preventive Maintenance

Preventive maintenance (or preventative maintenance) is maintenance that is regularly performed on a piece of equipment to lessen the likelihood of it failing. It is performed while the equipment is still working so that it does not break down unexpectedly.

It is periodic planned maintenance that ensures any required resources are available. The maintenance is scheduled based on a time or usage trigger.

• Purchase products used to do maintenance which includes machinery,  material and chemicals
• Undertake the care and servicing by personnel for maintaining equipment in satisfactory operating conditions by providing systematic inspection, detection, and correction of incipient failures either before they occur or before they develop into major defects
• Undertake the work carried out on equipment to avoid breakdown or malfunction. It is a regular and routine action taken on equipment to prevent breakdown
• Undertake maintenance of equipment including tests, measurements, adjustments, parts replacement and cleaning, performed specifically to prevent faults from occurring
• Undertake health checks and reporting
• Confirm security and OS updates and give recommendation reports
